Join Oscar Narvaez of The Chunky Scones for our first-ever vegan baking workshop! This workshop will cover the principles of veganism, get some professional pointers for vegan baking, and everything you need to know to make your own vegan conchas at home. Each participant will practice mixing dough, shaping the conchas, making the topping, and baking conchas to sample during the workshop. Everyone will go home with the vegan concha recipe, pre-made dough, and other ingredients needed to make up to six conchas at home.
Please bring your own container to take home your concha dough.
This workshop will be led by Oscar Narvaez, co-founder and head baker of The Chunky Scones , a small-batch, 100% vegan bakery that focuses on flavor and quality. They strive to excite the palates of vegans with local ingredients whenever available. All of their baked good are made without artificial ingredients, dyes, or flavorings.
