Event Details
Interested in becoming a volunteer with Plant Chicago? This orientation will introduce you to our mission, vision, programs, staff, and key volunteer leaders. We will also introduce you to our space and our upcoming volunteer opportunities. This summer in particular, as we wrap up our building renovations, we'll need help cleaning up and organizing our space, constructing a new chicken aviary, building out our new indoor farm, and lots of painting!
There will also be opportunities to assist with some special events as well as our monthly farmers markets at our historic firehouse.
If you'd like to start your volunteering on the day of the orientation, please wear clothing you're alright with getting dirty and closed toed shoes. Otherwise, you're welcome to browse the farmers market and sign up for a future opportunity.
