SOLD OUT - Sourdough Baking: Vegan Conchas and Biscuits

During this 2.5-hour workshop, participants will learn about sourdough baking and the all-important sourdough starter with instructor Oscar Narvaez. Participants will also get to make their own vegan concha pastry to enjoy during the workshop and will take home enough dough and paste to make up to 6 conchas at home. Lastly, participants will learn how to make vegan biscuits with sourdough starter.

Participants will take home dough and paste to make up to 6 conchas at home, their very own The Chunky Scone sourdough starter, and recipes for vegan conchas and biscuits.

Participants should bring their own bowl and a reusable container to take home their concha dough. Our instructor also recommends that you bring an apron if you have one!

About the Instructor

Oscar Narvaez is the owner and baker behind The Chunky Scone, an all-vegan company that was founded in 2015 in Forest Park, Illinois. He is self-taught and one of his favorite hobbies is to make and bake sourdough bread. You can catch him at vegan events and markets around Chicago.
