Virtual Closed Loop Lab: Microscope Adventures

This lab is recommended for grades 6-12.

Our Virtual Closed Loop Lab series is designed for teachers and parents looking to engage their students in science and sustainability topics through this quarantine era. Plant Chicago will be hosting virtual labs every Thursday from 1-2 pm until the end of the school year. From aquaponics to waste audits, explore a new topic each week with Plant Chicago! Learn more about our programs on our website.

If your students are able to attend, we invite you to share the workshop link and password with them in advance. After the workshop, we will send all attendees the full slide deck and recording of the presentation for you to incorporate into your curriculum if your students are unable to attend the day of.

Go on a never seen before Virtual Closed Loop Lab with Program Coordinator Stef Funk! Explore the little things in life with Plant Chicago’s teaching microscope. We’ll hook the camera up to our Zoom call to explore various creatures, plants, pollen, and more! Have something specific you’d like to take a look at? Let Stef know via email: stef@plantchicago.org. If she’s able to find it she’ll feature it during the lab.

A link and password you can share with your students to a video conference call will be sent via email (from Eventbrite) after you register.

*Please let us know in advance if you are anticipating more than 15 students so we can plan accordingly. Email info@plantchicago.org to let us know your group size and grade, or if you have any questions. We will send out some introductory materials to all RSVP’d guests on Tuesday 6/2.
