Plant Chicago is partnering with The Urban Canopy to distribute Link Produce Boxes to our neighbors on the southwest side. Our office in Back of the Yards will be a pick up site for Link card holders to pick up boxes of produce, bread, and eggs!

How It Works

Requesting a Link Produce Box
Notify Plant Chicago staff that you’d like to request a Link Produce Box for pick up at least one week before you intend to pick up. To reserve your first box, please email cdiaz@plantchicago.org, call our office at 773-847-5523, or fill out this form and we will get back to you shortly with more details.

Picking Up a Link Produce Box
Pick up is offered every Friday from 12pm – 2pm at Plant Chicago’s office (4459 S. Marshfield Ave). Please ring the doorbell or knock on the green door on 45th when you arrive and one of our staff members will bring the box to the door. For your safety, please do not come inside the building, we are working to limit exposure.

Our staff is working to flatten the curve! Please, stay home if you’re sick, only send one person to pick up, practice good hygiene, wear a mask and gloves, and keep a distance of 6ft from others while picking up the box.

More about link produce boxes

The retail value of these boxes is $40. Link customers will only have $20 come off their Link card due support from the Chicago Region Food Systems Fund. Limit one box per household per week.

Boxes are a mix of fruits, vegetables, bread, and eggs. Depending on the week, there will be a few options specialty items available to add on to your box.

This program will run as long as funding is available. Please contact stef@plantchicago.org if you are interested in donating to support this program.
