Plant Chicago Farmstand

Plant Chicago’s Farmstand began as a humble fold-out table in what is now Whiner Beer Company’s beautiful taproom (see photo above). After more than five years, the farmstand has evolved into a brick and mortar space where visitors can find books, Plant Chicago merchandise, and a variety of products from local businesses participating in the circular economy. Even the shelves and desk in the space embody our local circular economy principles. This furniture was created by MP Custom Made using wood salvaged by Bubbly Dynamics during their de/reconstruction work at The Plant, a former meatpacking facility that is being repurposed as a collaborative community of food businesses committed to material reuse and closed-loop systems. The farmstand also features the work of other artists, such as a beautiful mural created by Ishita Dharap.

Not only does your purchase at the farmstand help support these small businesses, but any profits made from farmstand sales support Plant Chicago’s programming and our mission to cultivate local circular economies. We are proud to introduce you to some of the businesses you can find represented in the farmstand, which is currently open every Saturday between 10am and 4pm.
